Yurt in Moonlight, Kyrgystan

Many people have heard of a Yurt, although not all could give you a definition.

This has changed in the last ten years.

State Park’s across America have built Yurt’s for rent, as a wonderful alternative to traditional tent or RV camping. This is convenient for families who do not own camping equipment.

However, nothing beats a true, authentic Yurt.

Dave Rawlinson took this stunning photo in 2007,  in Kyrgyzstan, a nation located in central Asia.

I can only imagine what it might look like inside.

Perhaps it resembles this photo by Bob Snell…

Vibrant in colors.  Lush in wall hangings and floor coverings. Rich like the culture itself.

Simple yet extravagant.

Beautiful!
